Kitchenaid Refridgerator that is nine years old. Two servicemen, one local and one recommended by Kitchenaid, both said the motherboard was bad and a replacement board was not available because it was discontinued. When I told a third repairman about it, he said to try fixyourboard.com because he had had success with them in the past. One call to Fix Your Board and walla, they had the board in stock and would send it out that afternoon. Three days and 20 minutes later I replaced the board and the fridge is working better then ever. I can't say enough good things about Fix Your Board and their staff, all were great. I hope I never have a problem like this again but if I do I know who to call.
Thanks again,
Walter K.

source We were shopping for a new refrigerator to replace our Kitchenaid after the control board failed and we were told it was no longer available. By luck, we just happened to learn about Fix Your Board. Contacted them and was delighted to learn they would rebuild our board or provide a refurbished control board from their inventory. Long story short, about 4 days from contacting Fix Your Board, we had a refurbished board installed in our refrigerator. So far, it has worked perfectly and installing it was simple. Fix Your Board was courteous, professional, and very efficient. We would recommend them to anyone that needs an appliance control board rebuilt. Hugh & Tracy J

Our control board failed and our fridge was going on and off. We had Sears come out to diagnose the problem and the said that the control board can no longer be ordered (which is true). We were left to buy a new fridge, but after research we found that FixYourBoard could fix our problem.
They were not only fantastic to work with (our contact was Megan), but they also turned our repaired board back to us very quickly.
Thank you Megan and FixYourBoard!!! You ended up saving us a ton of money.

Our counter depth KitchenAid built-in side by side refrigerator started making a chirping noise and the evaporator fan was cycling on and off every 15-30 seconds. It was still cooling but I knew it should not be cycling like that all the time.
I did some research on the web and determined the problem was the Main Control Board which is no longer available as a replacement part from the manufacturer. I found a few used/rebuilt boards on ebay going for $800 or more (!). I also noticed ads for a rebuild only service where you send your board off and they repair it and send it back in a few days. Given the used boards are selling for $800 I was a little nervous about sending it off for repair in some distant location
Thanks to Google I came across FixYourBoard and noticed they are located in Austin where we live. I took the defective board to their shop and ordered the expedited service for an additional $50 over the repair price of $220. I got a call from them later that same day telling me the board had been repaired and was ready to be picked up.
I was really impressed that in addition to fixing the existing problem, they also replaced several other components which are known to go bad over time. They included a 2 year warranty on their work which is much longer than a replacement part would have carried (if I could have gotten one).
I am very happy with their service and would not hesitate to use them again.
As a side note (or really just a rant) I still can't believe that KitchenAid can just stop making parts available. Our fridge is 7 years old and I would think it should last for at least 10-15 years. Thank goodness for shops like this one that can help out with parts and repairs so I didn't have to spend a whole lot more $s.

Did an online search and found Fix Your Board. Called and talked to Max, no boards where available for purchase, but if I filled out the repair order and sent it in they could turn it around in a few days. Max called for payment, received unit 2 days later, installed over weekend and no issues!! fixyourboard.com is the real deal!!

My repairman was going to send the board to the Whirlpool recommended board repair company and I may have gotten it back in 6 to 8 weeks...way too long to go without a refrigerator! After researching on the web for a replacement (no longer manufactured); I came across FixYourBoard and called them immmediately. They were prompt, courteous and fairly priced. I would highly recommend them. Don't get me started on Whirlpool/Kitchenaid!!! Would never buy another one!
